Litigation - General (consumer)

Paralegal The candidate will assist with drafting resolutions and ordinances for various public sector clients. Will also assist with government services litigation, such that an understanding of Ohio public records law and eminent domain litigation is desirable. Other types of litigation, including construction, insurance and product liability, will be a portion of the candidate's workload. Draft pleadings, assist with discovery, and prepare for trial are therefore additional preferred skill sets.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have Paralegal diploma/certificate with a college degree preferred. Must have 3-5 years of experience, preferably in the government service area, and should understand the inner workings of state, county, municipal and township governments. Experience with electronic discovery and managing large document databases is also preferred. Prior work experience or knowledge in the areas of economic development and real estate transactions in the public sector would be an additional asset. Proficient computer skills using MS Office applications needed.
