Prime Contracts Manager I Duties: Provides prime contract administration and claims identification and supports the creation of Joint Venture Agreements on a project of all assigned work. Support project management in executing Prime Contract terms and conditions; identify areas of risk and opportunity, participate in the preparation of a risk mitigation plan with the project team and manage the plan’s execution; establish change management log and collaborate closely with the project team the documentation of all changes. Assist in the identification, documentation, and processing of client issued change orders to the contract; assist on the resolution of claims in coordination with the Claims Group and Legal Department. Track Prime Contract Notice Requirements, provide information to management to enable them to give timely notice and initiate actions required to follow-up when required. Assist in reviewing or writing formal correspondence to Clients to ensure contract compliance. Assist in developing the Contract Summary and updating throughout the project. Support Sales on the development of new business proposals, including contract risk identification, participation on the negotiation team, and ensuring the definitive contract conforms to the agreements reached. Other duties as assigned.

Qualification and Experience

Requirements: Accredited 4 year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and 8 years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to 12 years if non-degreed. Experience with firm fixed price (FFP) construction in the federal market. Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors. Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job. Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines, to include FAR and DFARS. Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner. Preferred: Accredited degree or Paralegal degree or a Legal Administration degree or global equivalent. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Self starter and motivated with an ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment. Experience or courses in pricing, contract law, contract drafting, administration and negotiation of change orders, risk identification and mitigation, effective correspondence, planning, and scheduling. Thorough knowledge of prime contract administration office and field procedures and documents relating to various types of projects. Working knowledge of engineering/construction industry contracting practices and applicable government regulation and practices to include the FAR and DFAR. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
