Strategic Partner Lead, ISP and Portals Responsibilities: Manage and grow business and relationships with Internet Service Provider (ISP), Portal and Media partnerships. Understand the full scope of partner monetization and ad serving including inventory trends, direct and indirect channel priorities, competitors used and how monetization fits into larger business strategy. Analyze monetization performance and present findings to key clients, influencing partner strategy by highlighting key opportunities to increase yield through product usage. Identify opportunities to add new/emerging channels to product mix (e.g. mobile and video); bring data-driven insights to support recommendations and drive Quarterly Business Reviews with senior executives. Develop renewal and product strategy, negotiate term sheets, manage internal approvals process, contract agreements and compliance processes. Optimize usage of Google’s monetization suite in consultation with partners based on performance analysis, e.g. block list management, CPM thresholds, ad positioning. Develop frameworks to evaluate success of implemented optimizations.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience. MBA or JD degree preferred.8 years of relevant work experience including 3 years of related experience in sales, account management or business development at an internet company. Experience with partner relationships, business development and account management. Broad understanding of online advertising (i.e. ad serving, ad exchanges, ad networks) and of key platforms and trends (i.e. desktop, mobile, video). Video and mobile specific experience. Demonstrated analytical ability, including the ability to understand monetization metrics and apply these to potential optimizations. Self-motivated with great attention to detail, and comfortable operating in a rapidly changing and largely undefined industry. Ability to interpret legal documents, negotiate contracts and work with attorneys to complete agreements. Demonstrated partner relationship, business development and account management skills.
