ProfileIntellectual Property Specialist/Counsel Duties: Provide, in a timely and effective manner, the highest-quality legal support for a range of business-oriented IP transactional services for, and to build partnerships with, business units within Corporation requiring such services. Confidentiality agreements with universities, research organizations, commercial partners and private sector institutions to implement long-term strategic and commercial objectives for the subject IP; Material transfer agreements covering early-stage, proprietary chemistry and/or biotechnology materials and/or products; Service agreements; and Consultant agreements.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree required. JD degree or a graduate-level degree in the field of law or jurisprudence is preferred. Admission to practice before the USPTO is preferred. 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably with IP and/or transactional practice. Background and/or experience in chemistry, biotechnology, or biology is preferred. Final offer commensurate with experience.
