General Liability Claims Specialist II The candidate will claim of low to moderate exposure and complexity within specific authority limits, to ensure that claims are handled in the most efficient, effective way while delivering a customer-centric claims service. Will analyze coverage, liability and damages, participation in mediations and negotiating settlements. Will draft reservation of rights and coverage denial letters, underwriter notification of claim issues, and draft case summary reports in connection with significant reserve increases and trial preparation.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have Juris Doctor and 2 or more years of experience in the Claims and Litigation area within the Insurance industry. Should have bachelors Degree and 3 or more years of experience in the Claims and Litigation area within the Insurance industry. Should have high School Diploma or Equivalent and 5 or more years of experience in the Claims and Litigation area within the Insurance industry. Must obtain and maintain required adjuster license. Should have knowledge of the insurance industry, claims and the insurance legal and regulatory environment. Should have knowledge of claims handling or insurance legal statutes and procedures. Should have customer service experience. Should have ability to obtain and maintain required adjuster license. Should have analytical skills. Should have negotiation experience. Should have 3 or more years of claims experience in in professional liability, EPLI and/or general liability claims. Should have strong communication skills. Should have ability to multi-task and adapt to a changing environment. Should have organization and time management skills. Should have experience collaborating across work groups. Should have microsoft Office skills.
