ProfileAudio/Visual (AV) Technician - AMX Controls Programmer The candidate will provide AV and AMX controls programming engineering input to the Installation Design Plan (IDP) to support procurement, configuration management, and certification and accreditation of proposed systems. Develop functional process diagrams for AV services. Provide AV and AMX controls programming engineering support focusing on the design, implementation, testing, and maintenance of AV services. Design, install, provision, configure, optimize, tunine, integrate, and administer AV and AMX controls programming solution technologies in a lab environment. Comply with all applicable security and Information assurance (IA) policies and directives. Develop comprehensive test cases to include testing scenarios for both normal and degraded (e.g., disaster recovery, continuity of operations, data recovery, data spill, etc.) operations, pass/fail criteria, performance criteria, capacity planning, measurement criteria, results analysis procedures, and reporting criteria. Assist the SSC Pacific Government team in planning, executing and documenting system operational verification tests (SOVT) in accordance with SPAWAR M-4720.1, Shore Installation Process Handbook v4.0, 12 Nov 14. Interface with C2 system owners during integration testing preparation and execution. Perform requirements analysis to capture and incorporate C2 and other component system of systems testing criteria into integration testing scenarios. Support and document the implementation of approved changes to system configurations, software, and infrastructure within the approved testing schedule. Provide ongoing progress to leadership, system owners, and peers regarding health of the environment and status of testing. Research and analyze emerging AV and AMX controls programming technologies, techniques, and protocols and making recommendations. Assist with procurement of hardware, software, and services. Support the installation of new AV technology components.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have bachelors and 9+ years of experience. Masters and 7+ years of experience is essential. Should have PhD or JD degree and 4+ years of experience. Should be Certified AMX ACE-P Programming Expert or capability of obtaining certification by start date. Should have Bachelor’s Degree or Higher in Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline; experience is accepted in lieu of education. Should have 1+ AV-related certifications. Should have experience with ITIL methodology; specifically Incident, Request and Change management principles and tracking systems. Should have experience with Operations support within an ITIL Service Operations management framework, including use of Service Now or Remedy service management tools. Should have 5+ years of demonstrated advanced, hands-on, AV and AMX controls programming engineering experience supporting the design, installation, configuration, development, integration, implementation, and testing of AV services in a complex environment with multiple classification enclaves and integrated with DoD C2 systems utilizing associated information assurance processes/procedures. Should have advanced experience supporting and troubleshooting AV and AMX controls programming issues reported through monitoring or customer submittals. Should have familiarity with Enterprise IT environments (AV, data center, computing, storage, network, security, replication, backup/recovery, policies and procedures). Should have experience in the development and refinement of processes and procedures to ensure efficient, repeatable and effective monitoring and troubleshooting of AV services. Should have experience with IT service management best practices such as change, problem, incident, configuration and service level management. Should have Top Secret clearance with a current SSBI and be SCI-eligible, Certified AMX ACE-P Programing Expert or equivalent/higher certification, an active DoD 8570.01-M, Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program certification at information assurance technical level II (IAT II; CompTIA Security+ or equivalent) and the respective network and computing environment certification (see b, above)
