ProfileChicago office of our client seeks intellectual property attorney with 2+ years of experience. The candidate will represent and advise clients concerning patents and inventions. Will interpret laws, rulings and regulations for supervisors and clients and analyze the probable outcomes of cases, using knowledge of legal precedents. Advise on global patent enforcement and patent litigation; drafting and negotiating IP/technology agreements, complex patent license, settlement agreements, and other IP related contracts. File and prosecute patent applications on behalf of inventors before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Provide legal representation before the U.S. District Courts, Patent Trial and Appeal Board, and International Trade Commission. Conduct infringement/invalidity research and analysis. Must have undergraduate degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering or computer science. Prior experience must include drafting and negotiating IP/technology agreements, complex patent license, settlement agreements, and other IP related contracts; advising on global patent enforcement. Must be licensed to practice law in Illinois.
