Health Care Associate Responsibilities: Advising health care clients in the areas of business strategy and transactions, fraud and abuse protection, and regulatory compliance. Assisting health care organizations with the investigation of potential fraud, waste, or abuse issues. Advising health care providers and plans with respect to physician contracting, Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement, Stark and Anti-Kickback Statute compliance, HIPAA compliance, and corporate governance and tax exemption issues. Advising Medicare Advantage, Part D and Medicaid managed care organizations on a wide range of regulatory, compliance, audit, and enforcement matters. Advising on legislative and other policy developments in the health care area.
Qualification and Experience
Requirements: Should be licensed or eligible to practice law in Washington, DC and be in good standing. 3-5 years of health care transactional and regulatory experience in a law firm is required. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines. Excellent analytical, written, verbal and interpersonal skills. Highly organized with a proven attention to detail. Understands the importance of client service and exhibits confidence and diplomacy. Embraces teamwork and values collaboration.
