ProfileSenior Counsel - Specialty Health (Specialty Pharmacy) The candidate primary responsibilities will include: Providing regulatory advice and counsel for multiple specialty pharmacies (licensed throughout the US) on a wide range of topics, including various State pharmacy-related and Federal and state healthcare laws. Contract drafting, revision, strategy and negotiation. Working closely with other lawyers and paralegals, and compliance colleagues who provide cross-functional support services for company. Frequent interactions with senior segment business leaders, and other internal stakeholders across functional groups.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have Juris Doctor Degree with excellent academic credentials. Must be member of state Bar in good standing. Should have 10+ years of experience providing legal counsel, at least 5 years practicing pharmacy law (2+ years experience in specialty pharmacy strongly preferred). Should have experience with additional healthcare laws and regulations. Pharmaceutical manufacturer contracting experience is preferred. Must have solid experience with US state pharmacy regulations and their application to specialty pharmacy. Should have excellent commercial contract drafting and negotiation skills. Must have experience with risk mitigation in a regulatory environment. Should be team player with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to provide sound, clear and succinct legal advice to senior executives and other business clients. Must have outstanding verbal and written communication skills and high attention to detail.
