Staff Attorney The candidate reports to the Senior Staff Attorney and provides legal counsel to organization and its affiliates by researching and making recommendations based on federal and state statutes while exercising expertise in areas related to health care. Will handle day-to-day contractual and operational issues including, research contracts and issues, contracts with referral sources that require compliance with the Stark and Anti-kickback statutes, other professional services contracts, supplier contracts, leases, patient consent matters, EMTALA questions and issues, human resources matters including EEOC and employment litigation and various other legal issues confronting a major health care organization. Should have a J.D. or equivalent degree from an accredited school of law and admitted to the Arkansas, Mississippi, or Tennessee Bar. Must have 5+ years of experience in a corporate health law and/or law practice setting working specifically on health law matters. Significant experience in a corporate health law and/or law practice setting working specifically on research matters preferred.
