ProfileRisk Manager - Registered Nurse Duties: Responsible for organizing, planning, on-going development, and implementation of the Risk Management and Patient Safety Programs (including all hospital outpatient departments and Physician Network sites), in collaboration with Health. Acts as a resource for leaders and medical staff, and is responsible for the implementation and execution of all Health Risk Management and Safety policies and procedures and the Quality and Safety Plan. Performs job-specific duties and responsibilities, including Loss Prevention/Patient Safety and Claims Management, as well as general leadership responsibilities such as Operational Oversight and Decision-Making.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Associates degree or higher. Preferred: Bachelors’ degree or higher, or JD Degree. Current Certification in Healthcare Risk Management, or ability to obtain within 2-years of hire. Friends and Family BLS within 6 months of hire. Experience in understanding and usage of computers, including the Microsoft Office Suite, as well as the ability to learn applications relevant to the position. Demonstrates knowledge of the legal system and litigation processes and investigation techniques. Demonstrates cognitive ability to problem solve, resolve conflicts, and make decisions with sound reasoning, good judgment, and critical thinking skills. Strong ability to engage others and lead change. Demonstrates excellent oral and written communication skills and negotiation skills. Strong computer skills including experience with Excel. Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality. Ability to interpret policies, procedures, governmental rules and regulations. Ability to successfully function in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment. Demonstrates strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
