ProfileHousing Attorney The candidate provides legal advice and direct representation to clients at risk of eviction, living in substandard housing or otherwise at risk of homelessness in all housing court proceedings and appeals, and in hearings before administrative agencies. Will be responsible for working with a number of attorneys simultaneously in an active litigation practice. Should have 2-5 years of relevant legal experience and a demonstrated commitment to working with low-income families and individuals and/or persons living with HIV/AIDS. Prior knowledge or experience with housing law matters is required. Knowledge or experience with HIV/AIDS and/or public benefits is preferred. Excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills are essential. Fluency in Spanish is preferred. Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, including MS Word, Excel is must.
