ProfileSenior Trial Attorney The candidate will be responsible for handling all aspects of personal injury defense, no-fault and homeowners matters from inception through trial/resolution. Handle depositions, court appearances, draft pleadings, motions, discovery and conduct trials. Handle multiple projects effectively and manage a large caseload. Submit comprehensive verbal and written reports to respective claims partners. Provide accurate assessments of liability and damages, make recommendations and prepare and execute litigation strategies. Take and defend depositions. Court appearances/motions. Perform other related duties as assigned or required. JD degree from an accredited law school and 8+ years of experience in insurance defense including motor vehicle accident, premises liability and UM/UIM cases required. CT bar admission required. Record of taking Connecticut personal injury trials to verdict (liability and damages) required. In depth knowledge of Connecticut tort law required. Thorough understanding of medical conditions/ability to understand and analyze medical records required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a track record of building relationships and effective partnerships and being a team player required. Proficient in motion practice and litigation advocacy required. Superior oral and written communications skills required.
