Vice President, Legal Affairs The candidate will serve serves as in-house general counsel for Community and is responsible for all general legal affairs, legal compliance, and other legal areas of Community. Serves as legal counsel for the organization in coordination with Health legal offices and County Attorneys as needed; oversees any outside counsel retained. Provides legal counsel and guidance for corporate governance, regulatory, provider contracting, human resources, landlord and real estate matters, purchasing and other contract issues.
Qualification and Experience
QUALIFICATIONS: Law degree and licensed to practice law in State of Texas. 5+ years in the healthcare, insurance, and/or administrative law, with significant work experience with health insurers/managed care organizations and health systems. Supervisory experience preferred. Above average verbal and written communication skills/(Heavy Public Contact) Public Speaking). Analytical, Mathematics, Medical Terms, Research, statistical. Knowledge of health insurance and Medicaid regulations and compliance requirements. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations. Ability to organize task and work independently. Writing and communication skills a must.
