VP, Marketing Compliance Officer Duties: Responsible for the day-to-day management of marketing compliance program, including advising on strategies, reviewing collateral, monitoring related processes and controls, and reporting and escalating as needed. Provide subject matter expertise on marketing, sales, and information sharing requirements for mortgage lending Sales and Marketing practices, including TILA Advertising, RESPA Sec 8, TILA MLO Compensation, UDAAP, TCPA/TSR, GLBA/FCRA Info Sharing, and other applicable regulations--including newly issued rules and regulations--and communicate guidance consistently to the business units. Conduct ongoing reviews of marketing and advertising materials and contracts to ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, or contractual restrictions, including print, online, telemarketing, etc.. Identify potential compliance and fair lending risks related to marketing and advertising materials, marketing models, and marketing campaign proposals and strategies. Through an understanding of applicable regulations, ensure a robust monitoring and testing program is in place to identify and mitigate key risks for each business unit, including telemarketing call and email monitoring, compensation practices reviews, information sharing and marketing opt out preference management, Do Not Call restrictions, etc.. Complete risk assessments, including assessing proactive strategies to address emerging or changing risks or regulatory themes that may impact marketing program enhancements, such as ADA or MSA requirements . Develop collaborative relationships with senior and executive business management so that Marketing Compliance can help AmeriHome meet its risk objectives through timely identification of risks, management of regulatory change, and development of appropriate risk response strategies. Provide regular reporting and updates to the Chief Compliance Officer and Senior Management. Serve an important role in ensuring the Marketing and Sales teams are managing, monitoring, and escalating risks within the Compliance Risk Management framework. Additional duties and projects as assigned.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree required, JD Degree or CRCM desired. 7+ years of recent regulatory compliance or legal experience in banking or financial services in the areas of mortgage lending and other consumer financial products and services. Strong knowledge of compliance risk management practices. Strong experience developing corporate and/or business policies, procedures, and controls. Knowledgeable in FRB, OCC, and CFPB rules and regulations . Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proven ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management, auditors, and examiners. Demonstrated ability in leading projects within compliance or business environments that highlight compliance needs. Experience with big data and digital marketing compliance, including search engine marketing, social media, digital advertising, and telemarketing campaigns. Proven ability to develop effective, matrixed, cross-organization relationships, collaborating and communicating across business and technology stakeholders. Adept at developing compliance reporting and metrics.
