Senior Compliance Consultant Duties: Plays an integral role in leading client engagement to ensure compliance objectives are successfully achieved. Provide expert consultation and advice to assigned management teams, and across project teams and committees; proactively work to lead and build consensus, resolve conflicts, and create positive long-term working relationships within the Kaiser Permanente enterprise. Partner with business areas to identify compliance risks and provide advice on implementing processes to comply with new or existing regulatory requirements. Monitor industry and compliance trends and develop and implement compliance related training.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in lieu of educational requirements. Preferred: Masters degree (MHA, MBA, JD Degree or Nursing degree) and/or specialized training in health care compliance. Demonstrated excellence in leadership, alignment and execution; Courage to take difficult or unpopular positions when necessary to protect the enterprise; Demonstrated ability to build relationships and influence across enterprise at all levels; Reputation for exercising the highest integrity; Ability to translate regulatory requirements into practical and actionable elements in a healthcare setting; Ability to exude a polished and genuine professional image and calm presence; Outstanding oral and written communication skills; Experience with change management; Strong analytical skills; Extremely organized. Preferred: 5-7 years progressively responsible professional experience (or equivalent advanced education) in compliance program and client consultation and advice, 5-7 years experience in interpreting statutes and regulations (or equivalent advanced education) and/or working in a regulatory environment; Demonstrated effective ability to work with executive leaders, health care medical staffs, administration, department heads and other personnel, as well as external contacts. 7 years proven track record of building strategic partnerships and driving results in a heavily matrixed environment.
