VP - Regulatory Strategy, Head of Institutional and Retirement Practice The candidate will primarily involve partnering with our Institutional Investor Services (IIS) line of business and across client operations, relationship management, strategic corporate communications, IT, and government affairs functions to develop and deliver strategic business perspectives that inform, influence and define emerging business trends and critical topics for institutional clients, including multinational corporations, pension funds, endowments and foundations. Will lead and engage with our IIS business line, cross-functional teams, clients, market participants and regulators to: Identify, research and formulate business perspectives on industry and regulatory topics that have strategic implications for our institutional clients – Research, evaluate and synthesize market intelligence and data from various sources, e.g. client perspectives, industry commentary, financial press, strategic technology providers, competitive landscape, to develop differentiating factors, emerging trends and focus areas. Research, evaluate and synthesize key aspects of US and global regulatory proposals, identify key drivers, policy objectives, and formulate a point of view on significant impacts on our clients, stakeholders, and State Street’s competitive position. Lead strategic business planning, content development and execution of deliverables to achieve business objectives – Lead planning and production of an array of strategic content and presentations for various types of client and industry forums to drive new business and reinforce State Street’s global strategy, services and marketing. Present briefings for internal and external audiences in a broad range of forums. Lead, facilitate and manage cross-business communications, alignment, overall project deadlines and achievement of project milestones. Will have policy analysis, business strategy and/or portfolio management experience in corporate, public pension funds, endowments, foundations and/or the institutional investment sector.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree, with CFA, MBA, JD DEGREE or comparable advanced degree with strong record of academic achievement. 12+ years of policy analysis or strategic planning roles in corporate, public pension funds, and investment/portfolio management. 10 years of executive management experience. Global business experience in the financial services sector, alternative investments, ERISA and related regulatory, compliance or consulting experience is strongly preferred. Demonstrated ability to clearly articulate ideas and produce high-quality writing tailored for various forums and audiences. Demonstrated ability to work effectively at all levels of an organization and build.
