Compliance- Anti Money Laundering (AML) Officer Duties: Review of daily suspicious activity exception reports.. Manage the account monitoring and SAR filing process. Due diligence searches in government and internal databases. Monitor accounts for potential OFAC matches. Ensure compliance with PATRIOT Act requirements relating to the Firm’s business lines. Development and implementation of strategic AML infrastructure and enhancements. Utilize, maintain and update compliance monitoring systems, procedures, and controls. Analyze available data, communicate findings, ensure adequate remedial/follow-up actions, and document resolution of such activities to provide an accurate audit trail for regulators. Identify and resolve emerging AML compliance risks (e.g., the soon to be announced due diligence requirements for underlying natural persons of entity accounts). Implement and audit consistent application of uniform “know your customer” requirements through an effective Customer Identification Program (“CIP”) Oversee administration of Control Room to monitor employee outside business and account activity, insider trading and research and investment banking watch lists. Manage audits and examinations from regulators and internal auditors. Assist in responding to certain regulatory inquiries as well as blue sheet requests. Enhance AML risk assessment processes, performing risk assessments, and developing risk mitigation plans. Manage various projects related firm-wide AML initiatives. Develop and implement firm-wide AML training. Simplify and improve the use of technology in AML compliance, including watch list technology, media database checking, and transaction monitoring systems. Respond to ad hoc AML issues as they arise across the Firm. Respond to and address as needed changing regulatory requirements and expectations (e.g., new CDD rule). Report trends and findings to senior management.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree required. JD Degree or other graduate business or professional degree desired but not required. Securities industry licensing desirable (Series 7). Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) designation preferred (or have ability to earn). 5+ years of management experience preferred. Experience in counseling senior management, crafting creative solutions, and integrating multiple business objectives. Demonstrated expertise in AML compliance. Ability to analyze data to examine trends and seek solutions. Demonstrated knowledge of organizational anti-money laundering initiatives. Ability the think strategically and operate on a tactical level simultaneously.
