Senior Specialist - Compliance Duties: Support senior management in ensuring all policies and procedures are established in accordance with US and International compliance standards. Assist with and conduct legal research on various topics including food safety, import and trade, business partner compliance and FCPA. Collaborate with department colleagues to develop and facilitate employee compliance trainings for purposes such as new hire orientation and continuing education. Contribute to Compliance department efforts to build cross-functional partnerships with other departments and to ensure compliance initiatives are being carried out. Support the maintenance of an effective compliance monitoring, tracking and communication policy. Support the Compliance department in the roll out and implementation of compliance programs and systems. Support the department in performing internal audits on existing policies and procedures, conducting investigations, and developing recommendations that align with the US initiatives as well as Internationals standards. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: Bachelors in Public Policy, Law, Business Administration or related field. 2+ years of compliance or legal related work experience. Experience interpreting regulations, laws, and statutes. Training or experience in at least one of the following compliance topics: food safety, import and trade, business partner compliance and FCPA. Preferred: JD Degree, LLM, or international equivalent. Experience in the retail/ food industry. German language skills. Ability to conduct legal research using WestLaw and other legal research tools. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Excellent communications and interpersonal skills. Excellent problem solving and analytical skills with attention to detail. Ability to be flexible and adaptable in a fast paced environment. Ability to work on tight deadlines. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
