Associate General Counsel The candidate will be providing practical, solution oriented legal advice that is supportive of business objectives on legal issues that are of material importance to firm. Provide legal advice to Business Units and the Commercial and Contract function on the requirements and obligations under the Federal Acquisition Regulation/Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement. Provide legal advice in areas of labor and employment, merger and acquisition, litigation, compliance, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. Develop and maintain policies, tools and other resources related to key legal risks (Anti-Corruption, etc) and compliance programs and overseeing compliance monitoring. Support the Director, US. Government Contracting compliance on policies, tools and the compliance monitoring. Investigate U.S. Government Contracting compliance issues. Provide to, or obtain specialised legal advice for, vertical support functions in (e.g., HR, IT). Manage or oversee material or serious legal matters (e.g., litigation, investigations). Monitor external legal spend, taking decisions on the balance of insourcing and outsourcing for North America; and manage use of non-preapproved external law firms for legal support in North America. Educate and train business unit personnel on compliance with the FAR/DFARS, FCPA, L&E, etc. Develop and deploy online employee awareness training and materials as required in various areas. Perform due diligence in connection with mergers and acquisitions. Must have Law degree from an accredited college or university and license to practice law in the United States. Must have 7-9 years of years of substantive corporate experience focused on complex international legal and compliance issues, including U.S Government regulations (FAR/DFARS). Knowledge of an FOCI environment (e.g., Special Security Agreements) is required. Experience in counseling senior leaders is needed. Demonstrated ability to use advanced features of MS office products is must.
