Financial Crimes Consultant II The candidate will conduct investigative research using appropriate investigative techniques to determine liability and impact of cases including mitigation of financial losses or business interruptions. Will perform detailed analyses to detect patterns, trends, anomalies and schemes in transactions and relationships across multiple businesses/products. Develops and implements testing strategies and methodologies. Evaluates the adequacy and effectiveness of policies, procedures, processes and internal controls. Reviews and analyzes findings to determine level of risk. Drafts corrective action plans and assists in managing change to prevent/mitigate risk. Performs risk analysis and modeling as a precursor to building financial crimes strategies and models that directly impact Operating losses and indirectly impact Credit losses.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate must have 3+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: fraud, Bank Secrecy Act, anti money laundering, investigations of financial crimes transactions or policy violations, risk management, or compliance; or a BS/BA degree or higher in applied sciences, mathematics, statistics, economics, finance, or criminal justice, with 1+ year of experience in the foregoing. Must have 1+ year of BSA/AML experience. Basic Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) skills is desired. An AA/AS degree or higher in law or criminal justice is desired. Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE); Certified Fraud Specialist (CFS) and Certified Anti Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) is desired. Extensive Law Enforcement experience is desired. 1+ year in financial investigations or financial research work is desired.
