Banking Compliance Engagement Manager Duties: Establishes and maintains strong client relationships by consistently exceeding client expectations, leading high-profile engagements, demonstrating subject matter expertise, and assigning and directing qualified staff. Works effectively independently and as a part of a team. Works remotely from home when not on site with a client. Primary location is the state of California. Secondary locations within the Western Region footprint, which is comprised of 15 states/territories. Make timely, informed decisions and communicate rationale with factual accuracy and clarity. Adapt to changing business circumstances with appropriate actions and positive attitude. Participates in internal committees covering subject matter expertise. Drive employee engagement. Stay abreast of market and industry trends and project credibility in chosen area of expertise. Collaborate with other leaders. Lead engagements, assign tasks, and hold people accountable. Gain the trust and respect of each client by establishing and maintaining effective relationships. Understand and anticipate changing client needs. Expand revenue from existing clients. Actively pursue opportunities to develop expertise and drive innovation. Develop, coordinate, and participate in variety of educational programs. Represent FIS at industry events. Promote and demonstrate organizational and individual responsibility to fellow employees, clients and the communities in which we live and work. Collaborate with sales resources to develop new business opportunities by leveraging industry networks and business relationships, including paripating in prospect meetings. Effectively pursue and apply best practices to advance business and company goals. Promote continuous improvement while seeking opportunities to grow the business, add value and maximize profit. Understand and adhere to policies and procedures, as well as governing laws and regulations. Comply with information security and risk management policies and take appropriate action to secure business environment. Manage staff utilization, schedules and performance standards. Manage project profitability and client satisfaction.
Qualification and Experience
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, law degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience. Relevant certification for area of expertise (e.g., CRCM or CAMS). Relevant aptitude for area of expertise in Lending and Deposits (Knowledge of BSA or Cybersecurity is a plus). Must have experience in the Financial Services Industry. A broad base of banking compliance expertise and is well connected within the West Region. Demonstrate technical competence in assigned consulting practice. Broad knowledge of regulatory requirements, financial institution operations, and risk management. Speaks and writes fluently. Listening skills and ability to ensure open and candid two-way communication. Analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to build relationships with C-level management, peers and others. Project management, productivity, planning, and workload management skills. Ability to expresses both facts and opinions clearly and concisely. Negotiation skills regarding complex issues. Ability to work well under pressure and keep emotions under control during difficult situations. Adaptable and dependable in fast-paced, changing business environments. Strives for continuous improvement. Chooses the honest, ethical course of action and is consistent in word and deed. Leadership, management, organizational, and team building skills.
