ProfileExecutive Director Duties: Reporting to the Chair and the Board of Directors, Director provides the overall leadership, strategy and direction, manages all operations and activities, and articulates both internally and externally the sense of urgency in the effort to increase justice in Georgia. Leverages Georgia Appleseed’s power to influence the pro bono efforts of the state’s legal and professional community in seeking systemic change to Georgia’s laws and policies, at the local and state levels, that unfairly impact poor people, children and other marginalized people throughout Georgia. Makes it a priority to preserve and build upon the collegial and collaborative spirit that exists internally with the Board and staff, and externally with the larger nonprofit community and other stakeholders working towards the same justice goals.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: JD Degree (preferred) or advanced degree in public policy (or similar degree). A demonstrated capacity for major donor fundraising. Nonprofit management experience preferred. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Experience with Servant Leadership (or a willingness to learn).
