Senior Litigation Attorney The candidate must have 10+ years of substantive experience in one (and preferably more than one) of the following areas of environmental law: hazardous waste clean up (CERCLA/MTCA); water quality (Clean Water Act enforcement, §401 and/or §404 certifications); water rights; SEPA/NEPA; nuisance claims arising from environmental contamination or practices (waste water treatment or industrial processing); endangered species (ESA); environmental insurance coverage; air quality (CAA); environmental permitting and/or permit violation defense; and energy facility siting (FERC and/or EFSEC). Should be able to argue non-dispositive motions (discovery disputes or others) without supervision. Courtroom experience in at least one civil trial is required. Should have taken and defended depositions in cases without supervision. Taking or defending expert depositions would be a plus. Must be able to draft and respond to discovery requests without supervision. Should have experience working on document review and production, preparation of an administrative record or assembly of discovery documents, and the preparation of privilege logs. Environmental experience is preferred. Position would require occasional travel.
