Research Attorney The candidate will be advising internal client organizations regarding compliance with applicable regulations, laws and policies. Representing the Company before the CPUC, including through regulatory filings, compliance reports, and at CPUC workshops. Preparing research memoranda, cite-checking and other preparatory tasks for filings. Interfacing with SCE personnel in other departments and external third parties to gather information pertaining to complex legal, technical, and/or sensitive issues. Contributing to cross-functional or departmental projects and teams.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school. License to practice law in California desired. Must have experience in the utility or energy industry. Experience interacting with federal, state, or local agencies. Strong academic credentials required. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team including ability to promote positive cooperation within the legal team, with other Company personnel, and with outside counsel. Writing sample will be required.
