ProfileEmployment Attorney The candidate will be providing legal counsel and advice to employers, federal contractors and executives on the full range of workplace law matters. Will be advising and representing employers and federal contractors on pay equity matters, EEO and affirmative action obligations, and related compliance with the obligations enforced by DOL’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs. Advising and representing employers facing government audits and enforcement actions by federal and state agencies, including the U.S. Department of Labor, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the National Labor Relations Board. Providing counsel and advice on compliance with the full range of workplace laws and regulations, and related self-audits and training, including in EEO, wage and hour and disability and leave matters.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have a Juris doctorate degree from an accredited law school with strong academic achievements. Must be a Member in good standing of a Bar. Should have 4+ years of employment law experience in a law firm, corporation, or government agency that provides strong working knowledge of federal employment and labor laws and regulations. Experience and demonstrated abilities in legal research and writing essential. Experience in pay equity, OFCCP audits and compliance issues preferred. Litigation experience in judicial or administrative proceedings, including discovery, motion practice, trials and post-trial motions and appeals desired.
