Lead Manager, Retirement Legislative and Regulatory Marketing Strategy The candidate will leverage subject matter expert on legislative and regulatory changes to create value-add client facing material including white papers, articles, videos, and webinars as well as support the promotion of relevant content. Will accomplish this thru proactive engagement regarding legislative and regulatory perspective on key issues impacting the retirement plan services business. Will update key internal product, sales, service groups, and RPS clients of proposed and final legislative and regulatory changes, and partner with Legal, Plan Compliance and others to incorporate key legislative and regulatory information into action items. Acts as a consultative partner to determine implications of legislative and/or regulatory changes on RPS products/services and develop and execute supporting marketing/communications strategies and tactics for plan sponsors and advisors/consultants. Manages process to generate dialogue with key constituents/stakeholders. Liaises with Legal, Plan Compliance and others to incorporate key legislative and regulatory information into action items. Consults with key stakeholders regarding communication strategy and disseminates key information across RPS and their clients. Serve as a SME and maintains a dialogue with Legal and other professionals to ensure consistency of message and efficient use of resources. Articulates risks and opportunities for RPS, given current legislative, regulatory, and competitive environment. Provides direction to internal agency and technical resources to ensure communications programs are properly executed and appropriately rolled out to internal and external clients. Manage the design and development (copy, legal review, develop tracking and measurement) of collateral (both electronic and paper-based), tools and other marketing materials for select ad-hoc projects.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have College degree and 5 years of related work experience, or Associate degree and 10 years related work experience. A Bachelor’s degree with at least 10 years of related work experience in compliance, legal, or retirement services related field is desired. Law degree with at least 5 years of related work experience in compliance or retirement services related field is preferred. Must be qualified Pension Administrator (QPA) and Certified Pension Consultant (CPC) designations from the American Society of Pension Professional and Actuaries (ASPPA). Should have analytical skills. Must have proven ability to communicate well with all levels of management. Should have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Must have excellent relationship building skills. Excellent organization and time management skills are needed. Should have broad knowledge of plan documentation and plan testing concepts and practices for 401k, profit sharing, 403(b), ESOP, Puerto Rico and 457 plans. Must have in depth knowledge of the laws and regulations affecting retirement plan designs and plan documents.
