ProfileAssociate General Counsel The candidate must have : JD Degree required. Must have 7+ years practicing employment law, specifically within the context of advising healthcare clients including hospitals and healthcare systems. Experience should include advising on a wide variety of workplace issues including: discipline and discharge, disability accommodation requests, discrimination claims, wage and hour law, labor matters, employee relations, human resource policy development, statutory and regulatory compliance, and conducting internal investigations, as well as those issues unique to the health care environment such as employment issues in the GME context, discipline, termination, and reporting of licensed providers including physicians, and medical staff due process proceedings. Experience appearing before the National Labor Relations Board, state and federal courts and administrative agencies is also required. Preference for candidates with both law firm and in-house experience Solid knowledge of employment, benefits, and labor laws. Outstanding interpersonal skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated capability for legal research. Ability to work independently. Demonstrated ability to interact productively in a wide variety of situations and to command the respect and confidence of a diverse population of people throughout the organization.
