Corporate Counsel, Employment Practices and Global Procurement The candidate will provide legal support for Human Resources team with primary focus on the following areas: U.S. Employment and Labor Law (hires, terminations, agreements, disputes, practices and policies) and U.S. Benefits Law (employee benefit, welfare and retirement plans and executive compensation programs). Provide legal support for Global Procurement team and corporate/commercial contracting with primary focus on the following areas: general contract review, language standardization, and contracting policies, procedures and compliance. Provide basic employment and labor law advice. Provide basic advice on employee benefit matters. Provide basic contract advice and review. Draft employment agreements, employee benefit, welfare, and retirement plan amendments. Draft, review, negotiate and interpret a wide variety of commercial/corporate agreements (e.g. Non-Disclosure Agreements, Master Service Agreements, Supplier and Vendor Agreements and related Statements of Work; IT and Business Process Outsourcing Agreements, Software as a Service Agreements, Master Services Agreements, Software and Other Licensing Agreements). Contribute to development of policies and procedures. Identify and implement ways to improve efficiency and effectiveness of delivery of legal services. Assist in the development and administration of training on various legal matters. Perform legal research regarding various issues. Coordinate and oversee outside counsel (as necessary). Perform other position-related duties as assigned. Law degree from U.S. law school and membership of a U.S. State Bar required. 4-5 years of employment law experience (in-house and/or private practice at large national law firm) required; contract/procurement experience preferred. Strong work ethic and high ethical standards required. Strong: interpersonal, organizational and managerial skills; analytical and reasoning skills required.
