Boston office of our client seeks electronics/software patent attorney with 7-10 years of experience. The candidate will be preparing and filing patent applications in the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and prosecuting domestic and foreign patent applications. Will be responsible for patentability searches and opinions, and client counseling on matters of patentability are also integral aspects. Should have a background in electrical engineering, computer science, and software. Experience in drafting infringement and invalidity opinions, as well as performing due diligence investigations is essential. Experience with licensing and technology-based agreements is desired. Must have substantial experience in preparing and prosecuting patent applications software, computer systems, signal processing, telecom, networking, and electronic circuits. Registration to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office is mandatory. Admission to the Massachusetts Bar is preferred. Must have a substantial portable book of business.
