Director - Care & Counsel Services The candidate will be responsible for program development and marketing, management, and overall quality assurance for Care and Counseling Services. Will serve in a manner which exemplifies the philosophy, mission and values of the Pastoral Care Department at Baptist Hospital of Miami, acting as a counselor, advocate-mediator, educator, and spiritual guide. Will maintain active membership in good standing with a local faith congregation at all times while employed by Baptist Health South Florida. Will work together with the Corporate Director of Pastoral Care in the development and the fiscal management of the annual budget for Care and Counseling Services. Will develop and implement policies and procedures, and will be responsible for clinical oversight of all aspects of Care and Counseling Services, including supervision and training of all counselors, residents, interns and volunteers in accordance to the faith-based mission of Pastoral Care Services and Baptist Health South Florida. Will be held accountable to the highest level of professional ethics and moral conduct as a spiritual leader within Baptist Health South Florida and related communities.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate must have master’s Degree and minimum 3 years of experience. Must have the following licenses: Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Mental Health Counsel and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Must have Graduation from an accredited college or university with a master's or doctor's degree in pastoral counseling, psychology, social work, marital and family therapy, or equivalent. Should have minimum of three years in management/administration in a mental health professional setting. Active membership in good standing with a local faith congregation. Should have ability to work effectively as a peer with clergy and seasoned professionals from other disciplines. Should have ability to articulate and integrate principles of theology and behavioral sciences in the practice of faith-based counseling. Ability to supervise the clinical work of others. Should have knowledge and skill in the clinical field to lead others and guide Care and Counseling Services’ clinical program. Should have ability to organize and coordinate staff resources for managed care contracts and to do the quality assurance and utilization review work necessary for meeting the requirements.
