Associate General Counsel - Privacy/Security/Transactions Duties: Reporting directly to the Company’s Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary, the Associate General Counsel - Privacy/Security/Transactions will have primary responsibility within the Legal team for privacy and security matters, and will also negotiate complex SaaS customer deals. Advise and counsel the Company, including senior management, on data privacy and security matters. Support the negotiation of privacy and security terms in commercial agreements. Create policies, procedures, training programs, compliance programs and playbooks. Lead auditing and monitoring activities to ensure compliance with applicable privacy laws worldwide. Work closely with the Security team on commercial transactions and compliance. Partner with Sales team and other relevant internal clients to review, negotiate and draft outbound SaaS agreements for subscription management platform. Undertake other projects as required as part of a small legal team.
Qualification and Experience
Requirements: JD Degree from a top law school with exceptional academic credentials. 7-11 years of relevant privacy and technology transactions experience, with a focus on international data privacy and protection, cloud security and complex customer technology transactions. Deep, successful experience partnering with and providing support to Sales teams. A combination of substantial experience with SaaS, and in-house experience at a public, global company and a fast-growing, pre-IPO company would be ideal. Excels at communicating complex issues to business leaders succinctly and persuasively. Has meticulous attention to detail and quality of work product, and exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
