ProfileSenior Product Counsel Duties: Analyze products, policies and initiatives to provide legal risk mitigation strategies for products across multiple jurisdictions. Review the compliance of project designs and launch plans and provide strategic guidance to teams regarding compliance and regulatory requirements. Coordinate with safety and compliance leads in the product groups. Coordinate with product, analytics (privacy), marketing, communications and customer support teams on multi-disciplinary issues to provide legal advice across many subject areas. Act as US privacy lead working with International counsel on privacy matters related to HW&SW. Support Senior Counsel on strategic agreements across supply chain, engineering and procurement.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: JD Degree and membership in at least one state Bar. 3-5 years of product counsel experience, including experience with various manufacturing models and related global regulatory, privacy, security, safety and consumer protection compliance (in house or at law-firm). Consumer electronics hardware experience preferred. A working knowledge of worldwide regulatory approval process (e.g. IEEE, UL, CE, FCC, CA Prop65, RoHS, REACH). Experience supporting product compliance through test and certification laboratories. Ability to thrive and innovate in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and organizational needs. Experience working with in-house clients and business partners aligning on strategy. Ability to garner support for legal advice and direction. Experience advising and aligning with cross-functional teams on risk mitigation across technology product platforms. Experience leading and managing multiple products, resolutions and agreements from concept to launch.
