Temporary Staff Attorney The candidate will work for a two-year period on a new project designed to help victims of crime with a wide variety of civil legal matters,including domestic relations issues; humanitarian immigration relief; access to housing, benefits, school-based services, and health insurance holistic services to victims of crime. In addition to representing individual clients, the attorney will engage in community outreach and education, and will work closely with community partners. Some grant-reporting activities are required. Admission to Massachusetts Bar, or eligible to sit for next Massachusetts Bar examination, or entitled to practice under a Massachusetts practice rule is needed. Prior experience in poverty law strongly preferred. Demonstrated experience working with diverse communities strongly preferred. Fluency in Spanish strongly preferred. Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work in a collaborative setting are important.
