Counsel-Legal Affairs The candidate will draft, review, negotiate and interpret contracts and other documentation. Will provide timely and thoughtful legal advice on potential risks and issues and propose practical, responsive solutions with a focus on true crime programming. Partner with company’s business executives to discuss and implement best practices and formulate new processes in connection with business needs. Create and update forms. Work with the Legal Affairs team on major projects with long-term business implications. Other matters at the direction of the SVP of Legal Affairs.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have Membership of New York or California Bar. Should have4+years of experience in entertainment, intellectual property, privacy, defamation other relevant subject matter expertise with specific vetting true crime programming. Sound business judgment and flexibility/adaptability to manage multiple wide-ranging matters, conflicting deadlines and new areas of expertise as business needs change are preferred. Demonstrated ability in a positive and practical manner to proactively identify, prioritize and resolve legal issues quickly and effectively are required.
