ProfileAssociate – Corporate Duties: Serve as counsel to a range of emerging and growing businesses, mid-sized and closely-held organizations, and large private and public organizations. Work on matters involving mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and other business transactions, various forms of financing transactions, matters involving corporations, partnerships and limited liability companies, regulatory and administrative proceedings, emerging businesses and entrepreneurial business planning, federal and blue sky securities issues, and general business counseling. Drafting and negotiating various transactional agreements, licenses, financing documents and other corporate documents. Work directly with clients to initiate, grow and maintain relationships. Provide support to attorneys within the practice group and throughout the firm. Active member of local community.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Admission to NYS Bar (or ability to waive in) required. 4+ years of experience in general corporate law required. Military experience a plus. Exceptionally strong writing and verbal communication skills are required. Demonstrated high level organizational skills for prioritizing workload. Must be able to manage competing priorities and maintain high standards of performance. Exhibits conscientiousness, dedication, self-discipline, and a sense of responsibility. Must have a professional, cooperative, positive and flexible attitude. Ability to work with diverse personalities within various levels of the organization.
