Chief Diversity Officer - Senior Director Corporate Citizenship & Culture Duties: Combines the strategic leadership of the Foundation and corporate culture efforts including the role of Chief Diversity Officer. Lead and strategically execute the company’s diversity and inclusion strategy and provide consultation and subject matter expertise to executive leadership. Responsible for integrating diversity and inclusion into all aspects of operations across the enterprise by leveraging diversity initiatives that link to key business objectives. Results will contribute to establishing PSEG as a leader in D&I and impact diversity in the workforce and inclusion in the workplace. Will be the thought leader for the diversity and inclusion agenda for the organization. Responsible for developing the strategy, leading and integrating all aspects of corporate social responsibility and philanthropy through the Foundation and Corporate Social Responsibility functions, which include corporate contributions, community and urban affairs, corporate sponsorships and branding, internal and external employee giving and volunteer campaigns, and board placements and membership. Establish and maintain relations of trust with community stakeholders and key public leaders to advance business objectives and to enhance reputation by linking corporate social responsibility and business objectives to help address environmental, social and community/economic development concerns.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in human resource management, business or related field. 8+ years of developing and implementing diversity and/or corporate citizenship, public affairs strategies and initiatives. Proven leadership ability. Strong ability to influence others. Demonstrated passion for the issue of diversity and philanthropy. Substantial work experience in the field of diversity and inclusion. Excellent project management and administrative skills. Attention to detail and a drive for results. Basic consulting skills (the ability to scope, develop and manage project solutions). The ability to conduct research, analyze results and make proposals/recommendations based on quantitative and qualitative factors/data. Strong business and financial acumen, with proven experience in measurement, benchmarking, data analysis, and interpretation. Strong presentation and negotiation skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work on multiple projects in a fast paced environment with the ability and credibility to work through all levels of the enterprise as a business partner and change agent. Politically savvy. Strong Leadership skills. Ability to work well under pressure. Interpersonal, public speaking, negotiation, oral and written communication skills. Ability to gain the trust and support of key diverse external constituencies. Ability to work well and relate to senior management in all lines of business. . Familiarity, understanding and experience with critical statewide and local governmental and external issues facing the company. Organizational, budget and managerial skills. Desired: Master’s Degree in related field or Law Degree. Certified Diversity Professional. The development and implementation a comprehensive diversity strategy for a Fortune 500 company.
