In-Person Hearing Representative The candidate's essential duties and responsibilities: Analyze individual case information by reviewing data accessed through the PC, document images and through discussions with client witnesses; Determine and discuss strengths and weaknesses of individual unemployment compensation cases with client witnesses; Analyze how known and new facts as well as documentation may impact a case and be able to act on the information during the hearing process via direct and cross-examination, entering exhibits, raising objections, etc. Prepare client witnesses for the unemployment hearing proceedings; Represent clients in unemployment hearings via phone or in-person as required; Document all communication with client witnesses; Provide excellent customer service to our clients; Act in a courteous and professional manner; Any special projects requested by a member of management.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have Attorney or J.D.degree, legal education, or paralegal is preferred. Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college. Should have 2 years of unemployment or administrative hearings experience. Experience in dealing with dated materials, strict time limits and/or working in a fast-paced environment. Ability to use the keyboard to input, access, view and interpret data on a PC. Strong customer service skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Understanding of PC functions, including Windows-based applications and Microsoft products.
