Director, Business and Legal Affairs Duties: Draft, review and negotiate various agreements related to programming. Negotiating, drafting, and managing a variety of issues and agreements related to live events and production, including talent, technical and production services, and above and below the line personnel. Analyzing production services and sports rights agreements in response to business questions, as well as providing necessary contractual and research information to other department members and business executives. Coordinating and meeting with labor, guild and employment groups to assist with various issues, and provide contract education for parties involved in negotiations.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: JD Degree required. 3+ years of legal experience at a firm, studio or production company required. Prior sports and live event production or entertainment experience strongly preferred. Knowledge of Union and Guild requirements a plus. Strong interpersonal, written/verbal communication and high reasoning skills required. Must be able to manage and make decisions in a fast-paced, live television environment. Familiarity with Word and Excel required.
