Corporate Counsel Responsibilities : The candidate will draft and counsel on general commercial and contract matters, including terms and conditions of purchase and of sale; supply contracts; request for quotes; purchase orders; quotations; vendor buying agreements; builder agreements; IT agreements; equipment purchase agreements and equipment lease agreements. Provide advice and counsel on matters relating to privacy, data privacy and cyber-security for all company business units. Provide advice and counsel on matters relating to Warranties, advertising and consumer product claims; Social media and e-business; Legal requirements for the manufacture and sale of consumer products; Regulatory matters and monitor applicable legislative developments; Complex supply chain matters, including logistics/transportation; Prepare and present legal compliance/education/training programs. Provide counsel with respect to third party disputes and negotiations toward resolution of such disputes. Coordinate with other subject matter experts on business unit matters.
Qualification and Experience
Requirements : The candidate should have a Bachelor’s Degree and Juris Doctorate, including registration to practice in at least one state. 10+ years of relevant legal experience at an in-house law department or outside law firm. Substantial experience in the areas of privacy, data privacy and cyber-security. Practical, business oriented approach to problem solving, complemented by an appreciation of legal complexity and risk. Work with the highest level of ethics and integrity. Manage outside counsel and other service providers. Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a team.
