Senior Corporate Counsel Duties: Be strategic business partner to Commercial Sales organizations and supports the development and presentation of commercial bids and proposals and the negotiation and documentation of complex customer and supplier agreements. Must understand the Company’s business, including its policies, practices, processes, capabilities, and systems, to ensure remains compliant with contractual and legal requirements. Must assist the Company in being a world class organization by understanding and identifying legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements, and ensuring compliance through effective and proactive measures both during the contracting process and throughout performance. Must have a deep understanding of commercial contract law. Must be a strong analytical and strategic thinker who can support the Company’s business and provide relevant and clear guidance to senior business leaders.
Qualification and Experience
Requirements: JD Degree. Significant experience with complex commercial agreements. Experience with learning and understanding complex business models and processes. Ability to ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements. Ability to work successfully with business partners to meet goals and objectives while ensuring legal compliance. Strong analytic skills and attention to detail. Ability to coordinate and lead key players in the business through the contracting process to ensure current and future compliance. Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and concisely. Client focused; ability to inspire trust and confidence through effective communication and interpersonal skills. Employment supporting procurement or contracting function is a positive consideration.
