Division Order Analyst 1 Duties: Analyze appropriate record title documents, contract documents and title opinions associated with producing wells in their assigned geographic area of responsibility, and work with experienced analysts on the Division Order Team, Land Coordinators and Landmen curing Division Order title requirements. Ensure that producing well setups and owner maintenance are completed in the assigned geographic area of responsibility on or before the monthly Accounting deadline. Work with other Division Order Team members on monthly revenue suspense, escrow and outstanding revenue reports covering their geographic area of responsibility. Resolve interest owner, purchaser and outside operator issues sent down from the Owner Hotline, from direct telephone inquiries and from email inquiries covering their geographic area of responsibility. Complete annual escheat research with other Division Order Team members covering suspended interest owners in their geographic area of responsibility. Assist other Division Order Team members completing special projects (acquisition/divestiture due diligence, component code mass change projects, software conversions, etc.) as duties are assigned by the Division Order Supervisor.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Petroleum Land Management, Business Administration or other business related field, or, in lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree, a minimum of two years on-the-job training in the Division Order Department of an oil and gas exploration company. 2+ years' experience working and completing basic Division Order duties. 2+ years' experience working and completing basic Division Order duties. 2+ years' experience using Excalibur V5 software and the Land Division Order (LDO) application. 2+ years' experience using Excel and Word software applications in the Division Order environment. A solid understanding of land record title documents, contract documents, title opinions and curing Division Order title requirements. A solid understanding of owner interest calculations on producing well Division of Interests (DOIs). A solid understanding of basic tax and contract component codes and their application in LDO. Good verbal and written communication skills, particularly when working with Accounting, Operations Land, interest owners and outside operators.
