ProfileCorporate Counsel The candidate will: Provide counsel regarding corporate transactions, regulatory matters, commercial contracts, and company policies, procedures and guidelines; Provide legal advice and counsel on a variety of matters with a focus on healthcare, regulatory compliance, corporate transactions, and commercial contracts; Respond to regulatory compliance related inquiries and provide guidance as a subject matter expert; Provide counsel and legal advice on the interpretation of court cases, federal and state law, statutes interpretative guidance pertaining to regulatory, and corporate compliance issues; Work cross-functionally with the Business, Finance, and Technology teams to ensure that contractual terms are compliant with legal and regulatory requirements and company policies; Negotiate with external customers on vendor and client contracts, business associate agreements and other commercial transactions; Develop commercial models (including defining and drafting the relevant terms and conditions); Assist with the administration of company compliance program; and Take on additional assignments and responsibilities as needed. Should have J.D. degree from an accredited law school and licensed to practice law in any US state or DC. Must have 4+ years’ experience as a practicing attorney with 2+ years of healthcare experience and specialized experience working at a law firm, corporate legal department or federal healthcare agency. Working knowledge of CMS Medicare guidelines, fraud, waste and abuse laws, and HIPAA is essential. Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts is preferred.
