Senior Corporate Counsel The candidate will negotiate, draft and review agreements with current and potential customers, including subscription agreements, professional services agreements, statements of work. Will provide strategic and practical legal advice to business units, particularly sales, professional services, customer support, engineering, compliance, and other departments with customer-facing responsibilities. Support the continuous improvement of document templates, alternate language playbooks, and internal resource documents. Assist the Director of Legal in providing oversight of and mentoring to the rest of the legal team. Deliver training and guidance to employees on legal issues, best practices and company policies. Complete special projects as requested.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have JD Degree from an accredited law school. Must have an active Member of the MA Bar. Should have7+ years of legal experience with3+ years of negotiating customer agreements experience. In-house experience at a high-growth SAAS or software company is required. Developing strong working relationships with other business units despite having conflicting priorities and interests are needed. Interpersonal skills business judgment and strategic thinking are preferred. Ability to analyze problems and recommend practical solutions that balance legal and business risks is desired.
