Senior Director/ Vice President - Legal (Transactional) The candidate will advise on all legal aspects of the acquisition, disposition, financing and management of commercial healthcare properties. Will be negotiating, drafting and reviewing documents for joint ventures, acquisitions, leasing, development and loans. Will manage external counsel for both transactional and litigation matters. Will assist in preparation and review of confidentiality agreements, listing agreements, and other ancillary documents. Will assist in preparation and review of various intra-company agreements such as loan documents, contribution agreements and restructuring agreements. Will advise on legal aspects of asset management of existing portfolio, including review of lease amendments, waivers and side letters. Will oversee legal aspects of Senior Housing operations, including license applications, transitions of operations to new operators. Will assist with closings, manage closing documents and conduct post-closing follow-up activities. Will coordinate due diligence and other deal activities with deal team members and outside counsel. Will generate, manage, and maintain legal forms and database. Will assist with other real estate related duties as required.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate should have Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited law school and admission in good standing to a State Bar (California preferred). Should have 5-7 years of relevant corporate and real estate transactional experience. Must have ability to manage detailed and complex transactions and other legal projects. Should have superior verbal and written communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills. Must have ability to work both independently and collaboratively within teams, including strong organizational and project management skills. Should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a fast paced environment.
