ProfileSenior Attorney The candidate will provide legal assistance, advocacy and compliance counseling primarily regarding regulatory matters, including significant activity performing governmental advocacy. Will be expected to initiate and lead special projects and to provide management support initiatives and training. Responsible for identifying, understanding and communicating proposed federal, state and local laws and regulations that may impact Company performance, operations and compliance. Participate in advocacy in support of Company positions with lawmakers and policymakers at all governmental levels, including drafting position papers, proposed legislation, regulatory comments and similar documents. Monitor and coordinate Company-wide lobbying efforts. Responsible for advising and assisting Company personnel regarding zoning and permitting issues, including designing and providing training to Company personnel. Assist the Regulatory Department by providing legal advice on regulatory interpretation matters. Provide legal advice regarding environmental compliance issues. Serve as the legal liaison to an Area, Region, or Corporate function department. Participate on trade and professional association committees. Participate in special projects. Provide guidance and leadership to other team members.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have Bachelor’s Degree. Must have Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school. Attorney’s License is required. Must have 5+ years of related legal experience. Must have consistent demonstration of superior technical expertise. Lobbying or legislative experience preferred. Zoning experience recommended. Must have consistent demonstration of Crown Castle 3B leadership qualities. Thorough knowledge of legal research and writing techniques is required. Basic knowledge of real estate, contract and business law is required. Telecommunications experience useful. Working knowledge of MS Office is required.
