ProfileGlobal Trade Compliance Director The candidate will provide strategic trade compliance leadership within the organization and advise trade center of expertise personnel, geographies and business units on trade compliance matters, with frequent collaboration and communication with Legal and Global Trade Operations. Will implement and continuously improve the trade compliance program to ensure consistency with global Export/Import laws, regulations and other trade-related requirements to include effective trade-related policies, procedures, processes and internal controls; education and training; monitoring and auditing, remediation of program gaps, and periodic and on-going program review. Establish and support effective program governance and consistent execution through the Trade Compliance Governance Committee, developing performance metrics, and creating and supporting cross-functional working groups to include compliance, legal, regional representation, and other functions (HR, procurement, finance, Treasury, Government Relations, etc) to encourage regional, BU and functional sector network of global trade stewards to drive standardization and efficiency of compliance program. for trade compliance matters. Conduct and oversee periodic assessments to ensure compliance with applicable trade laws and policies and implementation of corrective measures as applicable; actively consult with Corporate Compliance and Legal Departments for procedural and legal guidance and risk prioritization and risk remediation. Work across the enterprise to identify, evaluate, and implement opportunities to maximize program efficiency and benefits, including potential benefits realized from available duty drawback and tariff preference programs. Manage, develop and motivate trade compliance program personnel. Bachelor’s Degree preferable in Supply Chain, International Business, Business Administration or Finance or supplemented by JD degree or other graduate degree in a trade or compliance related field is advantageous. Should have 12+ years of experience in international trade within a global organization. Should have 6+ years experience in compliance-related function or 6+ years relevant trade experience with a JD degree and has practiced law in this area. Should have 5+ years people management experience.
