ProfileCounsel The candidate will draft, review, negotiate and interpret contracts and other documentation. Will provide timely and thoughtful legal advice on potential risks and issues, and propose practical, responsive solutions. Will Vet content, scripts, activity outlines, and series/challenge rules. Partner with NBCUniversal business executives, as well as colleagues in the Law Department, to discuss and implement best practices and formulate new processes in connection with business needs. Will work with the Legal Affairs team and colleagues in the Law Department on major projects with long-term business implications
Qualification and Experience
The candidate must be member of California bar, or willingness and qualification to be Registered In-House Counsel. Should have a minimum of 6 years of entertainment, intellectual property, corporate transactions, litigation, privacy, defamation and/or other relevant subject matter expertise; law firm experience highly desired. Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States. Should have outstanding academic credentials. Must be highly motivated, highly effective self-starter with strong track record of successful project execution. Must be outstanding analytic and organizational skills, including excellent drafting and negotiation skills. Should have sound, practical business judgment; adaptability to manage multiple wide-ranging matters and priorities, conflicting deadlines, and new areas of expertise as business needs change. Should have excellent oral and written communication skills; experience communicating with various audiences and levels of management. Must have ability to develop strong relationships with multiple business units and their representatives.
