Employment and Corporate Counsel The candidate will provide support to the Sr. Employment Counsel, and partnering with HR and the corporate litigation. Responsible for managing a broad range of complex employment matters arising from the Company's workforce. Make strategic recommendations that help the organization strike the delicate balance between achievement of business goals and minimizing potential liability from employment decisions and the employment cycle. This role provides an added level of career experience with possible domestic travel opportunities. Manage labor and employment arbitration and litigation of all varieties, with a primary focus on wage/hour disputes and EEO concerns. Collaborate with HR and Senior Management to develop and implement strategic employment policies and procedures for the Company, and generally mitigate corporate risk. Assist in the management of both employment and general litigation and outside counsel cases, including assistance with case strategy, discovery, briefs, witnesses, and negotiations. Provide Expertise and legal guidance to the business on a wide range of daily issues and documentation, with particular regard to HR, Talent, and other personnel-related activities. J.D. degree and membership in at least one state bar in U.S. (Georgia preferred) and 3 – 5 years of relevant labor/employment litigation and/or compliance experience required. Demonstrated knowledge in Labor/Employment and Litigation areas, and broad spectrum knowledge of business and legal issues required. Impeccable communication, both written and verbal, with strong negotiation skill required. Strong attention to detail with a factual and legal analytic capability required. Thorough and effective research skill required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required. Law firm and/or in-house experience preferred.
