ProfileCounsel, Life Sciences The candidate will be responsible for providing legal support to the North America teams across all commercial functions. Expected to perform a wide variety of hands-on legal work, including drafting and negotiating agreements, as well as contribute to the training and supervision of company staff administering execution of standard agreements. Develop a good understanding of the company’s business and possess the ability to evaluate and balance both legal and business factors when providing advice. Draft and negotiate commercial sales and supply chain agreements. Supervise the execution of standard agreements (confidential disclosure, material transfer, evaluation, professional services, supply) managed by paralegal staff. Advise on legal relationships with customers, including terms and conditions of sale, warranties, tender processes. Coordinate with legal colleagues and internal experts on intellectual property, regulatory, HR, and other matters. Handle general day-to-day legal advice. JD with excellent academic credentials from an accredited law school and 5+ years of experience within a law firm and in-house, including experience with commercial sales transactions, preferably in the life sciences industry required. Demonstrated ability to lead and manage legal risks for complex commercial transactions and strong drafting, negotiation and communication skills required. Experience training sales staff on compliance issues required. Excellent legal analysis skills required.
